Of Travels, Cameras & New Names
So rather than getting my poor Nathan fixed, I decided to upgrade and buy a Nikon D90.
I was having kind of a hard time being really excited about having to spend the money to buy a new camera when I was trying to save money for a 70-200mm f2.8 lens.
But after a week with no camera, (even my mom's small digital camera had dead batteries) especially a weekend in Akron, OH at a really cool hotel : The Quaker Square Inn, I was definitely ready to have a camera again. I think this was proof that I can't stop being a photographer. lol
This week I am the photographer for Vacation Bible School at my church and am supposed to put together a slideshow for the program on Thursday evening. I've been having a lot of fun learning all of the new things that the D90 can do.
I am looking for a name for my new camera! It must begin with the letter "N"

ReplyDeleteNora?

Natalie!
ReplyDeleteThat was my first thought...but whatever. You choose. I don't name cameras. :)
PS: what did you upgrade from? and why did you get a D90?
PSS: the 70-200 f/2.8 is AMAZING! but, of course, you already knew that. :)
Ruth Ann,
ReplyDeleteI had a Nikon 40x. I got a D90 because... it was the best thing in my price range... I like it a lot! =)
Yes, yes. The 70-200 is absolutely fabulous. I love it. I suppose I'll just appreciate it even more when I finally can buy it for myself! =)
Janelle,
ReplyDeleteI didn't know we had the same camera! [D40x!] I had to get mine fixed a couple months ago because I dropped it and it broke. :( I'm hopeful to save up for D300 or D300s...we'll see. :)
I know, the saving up can take forever especially when you're forever seeing new stuff. [sigh] Glad you were able to get a new camera though!
Haha! That's crazy!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I was hoping that I could get a new lens and then save and upgrade to a D700... (I'm in love with it) but... alas.. no luck.
hmm...maybe I'll have to check out this D700...interesting. =)
